The meeting was called to order at 7:17 P.M. Board members in attendance were Tina Albano, Glennice Flynn, and Larry Forrest. Also present was Jay Fenlason.
Bills: Bills were reviewed and approved.
Minutes: Minutes from the May 22,2003 meeting were reviewed, with suggested revisions. Tina made a motion to accept with the revisions, seconded by Glennice. All were in favor and so voted.
Director’s Report: Jay informed the Board members about the status of the Summer Activity Program, sports programs, and gave an update on the bathing beach. Also, Jay asked about the possibility of joining with the Police in their Community Night on Aug. 5. All members were in favor of running a movie in conjunction with the Police Night as was proposed.
Access Application: Tina suggested that the Board authorize the purchase of the Access Software to assist in the tracking of sign-ups, Activity Program information, etc. The Board discussed using Access or the software that the East Longmeadow Park and Rec. uses. Tina volunteered to talk to East Longmeadow about their program and bring the information to the next meeting.
Fall Festival: The Festival, which will be chaired by Tina Albano, and the Fun Run, chaired by Tom Crogan and John Donaruma, will be held on October 4,2003 at TWB.
OLD/NEW BUSINESS:
Agenda Items: Glennice suggested carrying previous agenda items over to the next agenda if the board doesn’t meet. Additionally, there was discussion on making sure there is a clear understanding of the responsibility of each member as to tasks discussed at meetings.
The next meeting is to be held on July 24,2003 at 7:00 P.M.
