RAH Board members in attendance were Ed Pessolano, Steve Sugermeyer, Joe Martins, Karen Hatch, John Donaruma, John Flynn and Rick Green.
The meeting was called to order at 8:35P.M. This was a joint meeting with the RAH Board.
The purpose of the meeting was to review Pioneer Valley Soccer Rosters for the Fall 2002 teams.
Jay asked if there was any kind of a cut off date for accepting sign ups? Some of the rosters could be short if specific dates were set. The numbers for some of the teams are off. Could some of the teams be combined without having any children cut? Evaluations need to be held to determine placement for teams.
Jim questioned what would happen if a late sign up came in? Will we be challenged? Rec teams generally allow for extra. Suburban will not allow a late sign up once the teams are together. A solution may be to move kids from U-9 to U 10 to make two teams.
John Donaruma noted that on the soccer sign up forms it is stated that there is a $5.00 late fee but there is no late sign up date.
Ed felt that if someone signs up after a specific date and space allows, kids should be able to play or go on a wait list.
Chris noted that rosters need to be set by July and submitted with the number of teams and accompanied with payment. A waiver cannot be obtained to allow one extra on the team.
It was agreed that by restructuring the teams it would allow space for more kids to sign up.
