Bills Paid:
Hampden Nurseries (flowers for Duquette & Takorian), Whip’s Sporting Goods (basketball uniforms)
Pool:
Jim spoke with Gary Weiner and Peter Levesque . He will continue looking into this matter. It is still unclear as to whether the pool will be functional for the upcoming season.
TWB Gym:
There have been concerns as to the safety of the gym floor. Tiles continue to loosen and the floor is also slippery. Keith uses an adhesive to repair any loose tiles. The floors are wet mopped regularly . Jay is working on an estimate for a rubberized flooring that may be helpful. There is no asbestos in the tiles. It was also recommended that the gym be cleaned up and painted.
There does not seem to be any more ceiling tile damage after the previous incident. The police have been more visiable.
Events:
Ticket sales have begun for the trip to Foxwoods Casino on March 24, 2002. Flyers have been posted around town in various locations to help promote sales for Foxwoods and the upcoming trip for the ”Lion King” on September 21, 2002. There was a slight increase for the cost of the “ Lion King” to include drivers gratuity.
Misc:
Thank you cards were received from Kathleen Duquette and Honor Takorian in appreciation for the flowers they received.
Park and Rec Dept will be getting a new computer. John has found something that will be approx. $500.00
There is a new shed that needs to be assembled at the school, perhaps some high school kids could assist with assembly. It should be approx. 3 hours.
Extra gym keys are needed. Jay to have some made.
Basketballs have been ordered. RAH to cover balance.
There have been occasional parent/coach complaints all of which appear to be handled.
Check with Glennice as to when to begin looking for camp counselors (March possibly)
