Becky asked the board to revisit the idea of opening the building one night per month. She believes it is a good idea. It would be a Tuesday evening for the jewelry class, the “game room” attendees and any other group (card players, etc) who wish to come on that evening. Motion was made seconded and passed to open one Tuesday evening a month. Becky will arrange the particulars and notify the involved parties.
Bill Olmstead asked if the COA would open for one Thursday evening for the purpose of holding an organized seminar entitled “Your Government and You”. This seminar would be sponsored by individuals and totally non-partisan. Its objective is to get more people, specifically younger people, involved in the governmental process. Motion was made, seconded and passed to have this meeting. Bill will work out the particulars of date and time with Becky.
The meeting closed at 9:45 AM.
Respectfully submitted for the Secretary,
Rita Vail
