BOARD OF SELECTMEN/BOARD OF HEALTH

Meeting opened at 7:10 pm

 

Present: James Smith, Duane Mosier.  Mark Barba was unable to attend.

 

James Smith moved to proceed forward with implementing bi-weekly payroll to be initiated on March 4, 2004 per the concurrence of the Board of Selectmen on Feb. 3rd, 2004. Such implementation to proceed per the memo sent to the Treasurer Feb. 5th, 2004, which set details for the implementation, and reconfirmed our support for the initiative started by the Treasurer on May 5, 2003.  Duane Mosier seconded.  Vote: Duane Mosier – Yes, James Smith – Yes.  Mark Barba was not present.

 

Duane moved to accept the resignation of Kimberly Rasbeck, Reserve Officer / Part Time Dispatcher effective 2/8/04.  James Smith seconded.  Vote: Duane Mosier – Yes, James Smith – yes.  Mark Barba was not present. 

 

The board noted the letter from Police Chief Mellis to an officer dated Feb 4th, 2004 and copied to the Board of Selectmen and the IBPO indicating that paid leave for firearms training given on January 8th and 9th, 2004 does not establish a past practice or future intent.

 

The board reviewed various outstanding communications and provided draft documents for use by the Administrative Assistant.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 pm.
