MINUTES

October 24, 2002

Roll Call:

The meeting was called to order at 6:30p.m.  Board of Selectmen James D. Smith, Duane Mosier, and Mark Barba were in attendance.

Appointments:

 

The Board welcomed Douglas Mellis, Longmeadow Police Sergeant who is the third candidate to be interviewed for Chief of Police.  Also present were Connie Witt, Suzanne MacLaughlin, Curtis MacKenzie, Charles Kuss.

The Board interviewed Douglas Mellis after opening remarks made by James Smith.

 

Other Business:

 

1.               Storm Water Phase II

Duane reported on a meeting he had attended for the Storm Water Phase 2.  He stated that more information was forthcoming.  The requirement process for Hampden is 2-3 applications.

 

2.               Executive Session

At 8:00 p.m. Duane Mosier made a motion to go into executive session for the purpose of discussing Police Dispatcher negotiations without returning to open session.  Mark Barba seconded.  Roll call vote:  James Smith – yes, Duane Mosier – yes, Mark Barba – yes.

 

James Smith moved seconded by Duane Mosier to adjourn the meeting.  The motion was adopted (3-0).  The meeting was adjourned at 8:30p.m.
