The meeting was called to order at 8:01am. Board of Selectmen James D. Smith, and Mark Barba were in attendance.

Old Business:
1.
Special Town Meeting
Mark Barba motioned to hold a Special Town Meeting Monday June 24th, 7:00pm at Thornton W. Burgess School. James Smith seconded
Vote: James Smith – Yes
Mark Barba – Yes.
Duane Mosier was absent.

Special Town Meeting Warrant
Mark Barba motioned to approve the Special Town Meeting Warrant Dated June 8, 2002. James Smith seconded. Copy attached

James Smith noted for the record that at the Selectmen’s meeting on Monday June 3rd, 2002 Duane Mosier had been informed of the intention of the Board to meet on June 8th to pursue a Special Town Meeting with a Warrant Article for the Regional School District. Duane was in favor of going forward on this item.
New Business:
3. Possible Lions Club Road Rally Fundraiser At The VFW
Art Booth, in his duties as Constable, came into
the meeting at 8:25am to pick up copies of the Warrant for posting. At that time Art informed the Board of a
possible Motorcycle Road Rally style fundraiser for the Lions Club to be held
at the VFW in the late Summer or early Fall.
He will bring details to the Board if the Lions Club decides to move
forward.
4. Liquor License, VFW
Art Booth also mentioned that the VFW might, in the near future, be seeking an extension to their liquor license to include seating on the bridge area. If the VFW decides to pursue this they will approach the Board of Selectmen for a license hearing.
