The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Board of Selectmen Austin G. McKeon and Duane
Mosier were in attendance. James Smith was out of town. |

Old Business:
1.
Minutes from February 25, 2002 for approval
Duane Mosier made a motion to accept the minutes as submitted. Austin seconded, all in favor and so voted.
2. Police Contract
A letter will be sent to the Chief giving him the authority to pay retroactive salaries to the department.
3. Minnechaug Mountain
Discussion regarding interest reimbursement to the town.
New Business:
4. Off-Site Evacution Campus for Thornton Burgess School
Duane Mosier moved to accept Noel Pixley’s recommendation that the Senior Center become the Emergency Off-site Evacuation location for students at Thornton Burgess School. Austin seconded, all in favor and so voted.
5. David Martel – Rate Increase
Duane Mosier moved to accept a $10/hr rate increase for David Martel, Town Counsel beginning in fiscal year 2003. Austin seconded, all in favor and so voted.
Austin McKeon moved, seconded by James Smith to adjourn the meeting. The motion was adopted unanimously (2-0). The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
