The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Selectmen Austin G. McKeon and James D.
Smith were present. Duane Mosier was out of town. |

Old Business:
1. Minutes from January 2, 2002 for approval
Pg. 3, Section 10: add grant request
Pg. 4, Change heading to read, continuation of minutes from 1/2/02 meeting
Pg. 4, renumber articles “1-3” to “14-16”
Pg. 4, Section 15: change “will draft letter” to “has drafted letter”
James Smith made a motion to accept as corrected. Austin McKeon seconded, all were in favor and so voted.
2. Marcus Printing
Selectmen approved of the cover jacket material for the town report.
3. Warrant Articles
Warrant article were discussed for the annual town meeting. First was a town boundary marker with no specific dollar amount. Second a general by-law article 14, a specific amount of the penalty would be 1st offense $50.00, second $100.00, and third offense $200.00. The Board reviewed an article submitted by the Board of Assessors to be added to the warrant.
4. Budget
Several changes and additions were made to the preliminary budget; those corrections will be made and submitted to the Advisory Committee by January 18, 2002.
New Business:
5. Town House Gutters and downspouts
Reported that 5 proposals were sent for repair work. Awaiting the bids.
6. Isaac Bradway Road Pond
Discussion of a complaint from a resident regarding the safety of children that use the pond to skate and dirt bike and motorized vehicle operators who also use the pond. The Board will research as to who owns the pond and will be put on the next meeting’s agenda.
7. Rabies Clinic
The Board wishes to participate in the Statewide Rabies Vaccination Day to be held on April 6, 2002.
8. Noise Complaint
Resident Joan Corbin informed Selectmen that a neighbor residing at 33 Isaac Bradway Road has a home business and the noise is affecting her health and welfare. The Selectmen will draft a letter to Mark Feeney asking him to do a site visit to determine whether there are any by–law violations. A similar letter will be sent to the Conservation Commission for a site visit.
9. Charters for Town Report
Capital Planning, Personnel, and Government Study Charters to be added to Town Report
10. School Reimbursement
Austin reported on his findings regarding the Green Meadow School expansion project.
Austin McKeon moved, seconded by James Smith to adjourn the meeting. The motion was adopted unanimously (2-0). The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
